All RTT’s doors and windows are made from close-grained, knot-free laminated redwood, solid or laminated clear-faced oak from Northern Europe and the Baltics, or the best quality hardwood. Slow-growing redwood and oak, and slower-growing hardwoods, are renowned for their long-term, trouble-free performance.
Laminated redwoods, oaks, and hardwoods are engineered to produce stable, durable, long life materials which are ideal for windows and doors.
The sustainable raw material timber we put in is the same sustainable timber as in the finished product – no materials are introduced or substituted in the manufacturing process. Known as a Full Chain of Custody, our customers can have the confidence that:
A natural material with inherent strength and great beauty, timber lends itself to multiple uses in the construction of windows and doors. It’s easy to maintain and repair, and can be readily recycled at the end of a long and useful life. Timber is also the only building material with a positive impact on the environment.
It is vital that we manage our forests for future generations. This means planting more trees than are used to meet tomorrow’s needs for production. Managed forests avoid deforestation and maintain a sustainable supply.
Timber processing is low in energy consumption and has no toxic side effects. We strive to continually improve our processes and products to meet or exceed all relevant environmental regulations.
